TVA says the lake is a 354 (winter pool). Not what I'm seeing.
That's the site I'm looking at.
I am seeing at least 4 feet above summer pool
FORECAST IS 356.2 FT. FOR KY LAKE ON 2/17 3AM. I will not hold my breath for the accuracy. KY LAKE is taking in a lot of upstream water.
yea, that was my point in the post. I use this TVA site often, especially during the spring. Not the first time that I've seen out dated info. I'm sure the fine folks at the TVA are busy with the heavy rains and flooding other situations.
I was on the upper Chick yesterday and it appeared to be 2 ft or more above summer pool which is 683 but they showed it 681.0 Maybe their too busy to correct the site?
Went over the river at Savanha today. Already up to tops on carports.

NOAA normally keeps up to date river observations: NOAA - National Weather Service - Water - Water Resource Regions
You can also call 800 238 2264
I use it for Kentucky Lake at Perryville using the following code numbers:
800-238-2264
press 1 then press 45 for current lake level
press 2 then press 45 for 3 day predicted level. (This option is only available in the afternoon and evening)
I'm sure there are codes for other locations but not sure where to get the list.
Right now they have Kentucky lake at 372
There is a "sticky" at the top part of the TN forum page that shows a link to all TVA lakes info.
Go to this website. It is TVA's. Maybe it will help. There is a phone app you can get on the website.
TVA - Lake Levels
Looks like a 4 foot rise is coming by SUNDAY-MONDAY [359 ft]. Guess I will go get my boat out the water while water level is convenient. Time for spring service. Beats going to a ramp when you can pull out in your front yard. Lazy Tom here.
Like I said, don't count on it. Ky lake level forecast is now 357. Guess I will stay home and work on our taxes.
How far are you from the dam? The information on those sites measure the elevation right a the dam. Water can rise/fall as much as 6"/mi depending on current. You should google "river gauges" and select the gauge closest to your fishing area.
I'm in Clarksville and fish in the Dover area of Barkley since 1984. If the TVA website says 354 I know exactly where I can fish and not fish. If it says 358-9 I know it's at summer pool and I can access all of my "spots".
The site is showing 358 today which may be correct. Hadn't been to the lake all week.
Awesome. I also live in Clarksville. I actually work for USACE in Nashville. I usually use the river gauges posted by noaa. They have a gauge in Clarksville that will usually give a better picture of lake level near us.
Water was up 358 yesterday. WE drove to Springville and pulled my boat off the water in our front yard. Handy spot, as I use my Ranger with front end hitch to pull the boat out the water. I drive the boat on the trailer and Brenda drives the Ranger and pulls me out. We may be old, but we still a good team together.
