I’m with you buddy. I had planned on coming down next Monday but not sure if
It’ll be worth the trip if the water isn’t back to normal by then? They’re calling for descent weather next week.
I would probably change my plans if possible. It's flooded just south of Weiss now. I would guess Weiss will be if it isn't already. Up to 7in on the way later in the week to. I fished yesterday and only found a couple of places that didn't look like chocolate milk.

I haven't seen Weiss in person, but I'd imagine it's like the rest of the water in AL. Too muddy to swim in, a little too thin to walk on.
Lake is high and very muddy. Beagles are running rabbits across the coosa river. I believe I would do as suggested and wait a few weeks!
Here on Lake Demopolis the animals are pairing up.
Many docks under water

Man that's crazy! Didn't figure it was that bad since its only 8 inches over summer pool.
It is not anywhere near as bad as it was last year. I haven't seen any docks under water but I have not been all over the lake. The place around my house that were submerged last spring are still dry. It came up a little tuesday but it looks like alabama power is pulling all they can. If we get by the heavy storms predicted for Wed. night we may be ok for a while

as of 9 a.m. this morning Weiss is 1.45 feet above full pool. Looks like good weather for next few days. Should begin to fall

I seen where they've been pulling the lake and got it down to about a foot over full pool. I know a little more rain is projected. You guys think it will be fishable by early next week or id be wasting my time?
I think you will be wasting time. Lake is extremely muddy more rain on the way. Maybe the enc of next week?
Any updates would be appreciated was hoping to be in Centre Monday Thanks
Lake is 2 feet below full pool and clearing. Fishing should be getting better daily. I was over at little River Marina yesterday afternoon just loafing and the water looked good. Not many fishing yesterday because the wind was howling but there were some fish caught first of the week
Thanks Football Coach
Thanks all for the update....very helpful as I am trying to get down there too and have been wondering.

Heading down Wednesday or Thursday. Any reports on lake clarity and temp
Lake looks like chocolate milk on the main lake and most of the coves. Some parts are clearing up a little. Today was the worst day of fishing I’ve ever had here. Temp starts out around 51-52 in the morning and got to 55 this afternoon. Hopefully it doesn’t rain much this week and with these warm nights starting Monday it’ll get better.
It's going to be muddy. More rain on the way Tuesday-Saturday. If you can change your plans I would. Today was a high pressure after that front and like the previous post it was a bad day worst I've had in a while. Now I wasn't on Weiss but I'm guessing it was bad everywhere

We were on Weiss March 3rd thru 8th and managed some real nice fish (about 50 keepers) very slow fishing. Headed back next Saturday for a week :)
Got to see the Crappie USA tournament on Saturday which was pretty cool :)
Thanks
