From a friend and he registered 6.9 inches on his rain gauge the past 48 hrs. TVA Running 172,000 thru Chick Dam and Lake level 2 feet over summer pool. If that's not enough, rain fore cast for next 8 out of 10 days. This could get ugly.

News just showed I had over 2" of rain since midnight, so.... We probably had around 4" yesterday thru midnight, plus the 2" so far today, I'm not far behind. Maybe it will turn cold enough to snow a bunch so we won't complain about the rain fall. LOL
Stay cold enough to keep water temps at 55 for 6 months!!!!! Troll Baby!!!!!!!
We are just in from driving to the property that we inherited to see first hand what this much rain would do to the creek and branches that run through it. We saw some awesome and dangerous roaring water on the way!
Be safe.

Douglas is already up about 19 ft tva is predicting 25 ft before it stops
Same thing happened last year.
Rain gauge at the house showed 7 inches of rain.
"This could get ugly"?
Too late for that, it already is with just what we have had in the last two days. You have to pray that folks are safe, and that all of this water does not have an adverse affect upon the spawn, as in fish spawning in flooded conditions and water levels drastically dropped off the beds.
4.8 inches of rain was the official total in my neck of the woods, then 1/2in snow the next day and bitter temperatures. The county beside me had a Flood Warning and a Winter Weather Advisory on the same day, and record breaking warm temperatures earlier in the week. Weird weather for sure.
7 inches of rain here. Then 3 inches of wet snow this morning. The ground is a soggy mess
Yep, snow here today also. Got a good start on splitting some wood then it started that white stuff, and in a hurry. These two pics are an hour apart. Inside by the fire now[emoji16]

We got more than they were expecting.
