Who uses mineral oil to preserve plastic baits/tubes ?
I dont....but I have been using PAM cooking spray for years....works great...baits in zip lock bags...spray a couple shots in each bag and shake them up. They store great in the zip lock bags also.
Coach I seen Kevin Rogers show a tip on doing it on his plastic baits. Just started trying it myself.
I’ve seen several of the “stars” do it and seen a few fish hack vids that use some kind of oil to keep them. Some even add a little garlic powder/salt to it for little extra.

I do, works great. I just add a few drops to the slots or bags.
Used it years ago on plastic worms. Didn’t like it. I found out about and started using medical grade glycerin I got from drug store. Added garlic powder or anise oil from drug store. Have some packs of worms that have been it for close to 20 years and still good as new.
I use it, seems to work fine.
I use slab sauce works great

Slab needs to sell it by the pint, the way I go through it . :ThumbsUp
Iv put Mineral oil on my plastics for years. One good coating will preserve them indefinably.
Awesome
I'm the odd man out here as usual. I've never seen the need for additives to preserve plastics. I keep them in the original packaging zip locked and in plastic tackle trays in the tackle bag. I've had some for a couple years that are still fine. Hot ones get used an replaced frequently. Not trying to preserve mine to be in the Smithsonian a hundred years from now, I'm putting them on a hook and fishing em'
.... [emoji23][emoji23] the described methods in this thread definitely couldn't hurt matters any though. Some folks got way to many plastics and others don't get to fish enough or both! It's an addiction for sure, I have to control myself on not buying or collecting anything fishing related now days.
