Got on the water in B Allison bout 8:00 found stained water and log jam out to the Power Plant. Got to the Main channel and found the same conditions. Logs and sticks in the channel, had to run off to the side close to the bank. Didn’t catch many on the main channel but managed 30 in a couple creeks. Had 13 I kept. Had 2 that was 13 1/2. Use to make a lot of lures, hence the name tackleboat. Never got rich and spent too much time working on them. More fishing time now!! A pack of BG,Sliders or Kalins are just too easy! Believe it or not I once caught 60 crappie on 1 B Garland. It was a chewed up mess on the last 2 but I was determined to get 60. Make some to sell I’m in!!Quote:

Not to sell! :highfive Just something to do and I enjoy trying. I'll pass on some if I get good enough with it. I got in mind a few other molds that I think I'd like to invest in. I did fish jigs quite a bit when I was younger but got lazy with minnows. I still tie one on every once in a while though. This mold I have now is basically for night time and brush with a light jig head. I know it is cheaper to buy them and get perfection but sometimes when you do it yourself it feels like you accomplished something and you feel better about your own product. We'll see how long my hobby last! :dono Hers's first batch playing around with some old left over plastic from the flap jack mold I have.

Awesome job. It was a nasty mess up north also. I’m doing good on minnows I just can’t find a jig I like to use. My favorite was a yellow and black flick tail. I doubt they even make them anymore. lol.
