You timed it right. This afternoon was not as good as yesterday. Smaller size, few keepers, not near as many crappie caught. Your honey spot of yesterday did not give up a single bite, let along a crappie. But the other side of the slip had a few small ones willing to put up a fight.

Can't fish again until Sunday. I'm sure the well be full and restocked by then, if it hasn't been raided by poachers before I get there. :)

In the past it has not bothered me that people fish there when I am not there. But after finding the two undersized crappie in my basket Sunday I have finally decided today I am going to close off the one entrance and put a combo lock on the entrance with the gate. Then I will give the combination to my friends. I just don't want to risk having that happen again and have the game warden find them during one of their periodic visits to the slips.Quote:

Seems as if I remember another person who lost his card but then managed to find it again. :dono But SK will get another card as soon as the marina manager returns to work from the holidays. I may have to make an oath signed in blood that it was lost to get another one since they don't like to issue more than four gate passes but you can't keep a good man from fishing with friends. :highfive
