Father / Daughter trip to my favorite watering hole

Well for a rare occasion, Laikyn and I were off Friday. So off to my sanity place we go! Get there early and Laikyn catches 1st fish, then misses one. I'm thinking it's going to be on! Well for the next several hours we manage 7 fish. MoSlab calls to see how we are doing. Tell him we have 7 but it is SLOW! I tell Marty I see fish on the bottom but they aren't eating! He says how deep you fishing, I say 16' (water is 20'), Marty says GO DEEPER! DUHHH! I should have known that! We catch 8 more and my buddy that went in his boat gave us the only 1 he caught, his went 2.26 lbs and 16" long though! So we ended with 16 and 1 bass. My best went 1.49 and 14" and Laikyn's best went 1.76 lbs and 15". Laikyn caught the 1st and last fish. Was a great day on the water with my daughter! We haven't fished together in over a year.

WTG Dwyane and Laikyn....man, you got some hogs there.....good report....I've been fishing 18" off the bottom...

Time spent with daughters or Granddaughters is very special. It's been over a year for me too. She is away in college and they live in another state .
I did a double take at your daughter's picture. She looks a lot like my granddaughter.
Both beautiful, of course.

Yea they do Ray! Funny story, in high school Laikyn had a girl that look almost identical to her, other than her (Abigail) having red hair (Laikyn's is brown). They went through their school years calling each other their twin, now I guess they can all be called triplets!

Yes it was. I do think that had something to do with it also.
