Finnish Raccoon Fur
I got a little of this Finnish Raccoon Fur earlier this year, but have just looked at it since, lol! It's really different and has a few long straight Hairs, but most looks like long underfur. Anyway I wanted to tie something to see what to think about it. So here is a 1/32 Oz Roadrunner to take advantage of the Blue and White color combo!

Looks great Skip. I use raccoon tails for small bluegill jigs. Acts similar to squirrel tail in water. Plus, you can take a stiff dog brush and get some nice underfur for dubbing.

That looks like it would do well where I fish, nice work.

Thank you all, much appreciated!
FYI this is nothing like what we call a Raccoon, this stuff is pretty long and all White. I also have some Raccoon tails and they are a lot different than this stuff and the long straight hairs are not a big part of what’s here, it’s just different.

Here is a picture of this fur to give you guys a better idea of what it is, plus a description of what it is, lol!SkipRacoon dogs in Finland. The raccoon dog is an alien species in the Finnish fauna. Originating from eastern Asia, it was introduced to the former Soviet Union between 1929 and 1955 as a fur animal and the first animals had been spotted in Finland in the 1930s.
