Hi Jim--I like tightlinning.
I like tight lining also! Most anytime will do for me! :biggrin
I fish anyway that will put them in the livewell be it tight linning or pulling. Mainly I let the wind dictate which method I am going to use. On my pontoon I carry all of my rods for pulling and tight linning. I have minners at my dock so I can decide what I want to do before leaving the house.
Welcome to the SC site too . :welcome
I still night fish in the winter time and jigs only for me

I've never fished for crappie in the winter. This will be my first year trying it. So, we'll see.

In the cold of the winter months tight lining is my choice but if the winter is on the warm side longlining is what I do. Of course dock shooting on sunny days is always a good choice, what was the question?? [emoji848]?

This time of year, casting jigs with 1 rod, Sometime a single rod with a minnow to see if they want a minnow instead of a jig.
In cold water I slow troll spider rig poles, some jigs tipped with minnows, some minnows only. Move along creek channels and timber at a snail's pace.
