I have a place that has fish 20 to 25 ft in 30ft of water so today i tryed pulling 1.8 ounce jigs i let line all way to bottom but i didn't really know how fast to troll to keep it in that range .would spyder rigging work better at that deep i also can do that.

I'd be Pushing jigs for fish that deep, especially if they weren't holding tight to cover.
Normally (for me) that would be with 1oz weights & a 1/16oz jig/plastic on a 2ft leader @ 1mph ... with 35ft of line out (at approx. 45deg angle) which would put the jig at around 21ft deep.
But, if they are holding tight/close to cover (and you have those cover spots marked) then Spider Rigging might be a better choice. And I'd probably switch over to Spider Rigging if I was Pushing jigs among a lot of fish & not getting any action, but I might slow my speed down & shorten the amount of line out (first) just to make sure they were not just ignoring the faster presentation. :twocents
We are quite successful side pulling 1/8 & 1/4 oz. jigs (without any other weight) over those depths all the time. Speed is between .6 & .9 mph. It's always amazing to me how far up the water column crappie (and other panfish) will go to get at a morsel of food. :)
I would sink a BIG tree in the area and one pole them right to the shallow water in my ice chest if I were you ….
less complicated and saves on fuel and a lot less to pay attention to ….

In the fall after turn over I use 1/8 and 3/16 once jigs when fishing in 20 to 25 FOW.
I slow troll the jigs at 0.3 to 0.5 mph using 6 lb. colored braid and a 4 lb three foot fluorocarbon leader.

I like how you did the Perch imitator. I use lime chartreuse / black and red in 90% of my soft plastic lures and sometimes add a dab of florescent orange too. That is an awesome color combination.

I'm stupid when it comes to this type of fishing. Troll motor or gas motor for .8-.9 ? And are rod holders at back of boat? If using 1 oz weight and 35 ft. Of braid line out and some use double jigs. What happens when a rods snag and hooks up in structure that you didn't see?

What you don't want to do is have your weights "on" the leader, because a snag can cause you to lose weight & jig/jigs. I attach my trolling weights to the main line (20-30lb test braid or mono) with a duo lock snap (20# test) and then put another duo lock snap on the other end of the weight to put my leader on. That way if I break off I can simply uncoil another leader/jig from the pool noodle section they're stored on, then clip it onto the snap & I'm good to go.
The progression is like this :
14' rod w/line counter reel
main line (20# mono or 30# braid)
duo lock snap
trolling weight (torpedo shaped lead weight w/line eyes on both ends)
duo lock snap
loop knot end of 18-24" leader line (6# test mono)
jig/plastics at end of leader (knot of your choice ... I use a Improved Clinch)
If you're using barrel sinker weights ... I suggest putting them on the main line, then a large plastic bead above the snap/swivel. The bead helps keep the sinker from wearing on the knot & weakening it. The only down side to using barrel sinkers is that you have to cut the main line & re-tie to change the amount of weight used.
