You know the hardest part about mounting this motor was convincing Charline how important it is to get to the fish faster before they wake up in the morning. Honey I promise you this will help me catch more fish.
Looks good. That will push her down the lake pretty good.

It was bound to happen I hit something with the aluminum propeller and knocked the blade out of shape. Loss of rpm's and a little vibration. SS prop shopping today. The factory prop size is 11.1 X 14, I've herd to drop an inch in pitch when going to stanless 11.1 X 13. What's ya'll thoughts or experience with this. No tach yet. What is your thoughts on Solas SS props?
Solas are pretty good props for the money. I would go to the 13 normally, but light as your boat is that motor probably would still swing a 14 at rpm it should. You really need a tach to set up right. Ideal thing is try both props before buying. Might ask around some one around you may have a prop you could try. Think, Merc and Yamaha will both fit that motor.
Is there a prop shop nearby. They might have some try props and they might sell you a second hand one for a saving. You Still need a tach to tell if you’re over reving or over loading. Borrow one or buy one, you need it.

There's a prop shop in Alex but naturally they were closed today, another thing I can't get used to is the barbershop closed on Wednesday.
But Chip, you don't have to have a hair cut but you have to have a prop.

Skip --- If your Sonar has built it GPS it will tell how fast the motor will push your Bathtub... I have a 25 HP on mine and it runs 24 MPH at top speed .... the first time I hit a Stump it broke the stearing linkage arm off the front of the motor and got my Prop
Hey Chip,
I haven't been able to try out my 13" SS yet but the Yamaha's in the 40-50 HP range should fit yours so may be easier to find one of those to try. That's what I've got on mine(50HP) but had some leg issues and have not been able to try it. Mine had a 15" aluminum so I'm thinking I need a 14" SS.
Planning to go next Wednesday if my leg holds up. Doing OK now so here's hope.
One more thing Chip, check that your prop shaft isn't bent. That would be a major problem.
