Those look awesome.
Looks great my friend.
Mike
They should do the trick
Those do look good but they are tiny! What’s the length on them 3/4”?
Suggestion: add them to a grub body.
Those look great, they will catch fish!
You might consider adding those to a grub body once the curly tail is removed.
No longer keen on using curl tail grubs except with a Beetle Spin so I add the spike tail to different grub bodies (candle flame).

I have the same injection mold BTW.

looks good. not real big on curl tails myself, but ive never welded anything like you do with a candle. interesting concept. as far as having the same injection mold goes...i am aware there are several variations of this particular "spike", but i made this one to be a bit more on the finesse side at the end of the tail. you might see the arch in the belly in the picture with them in the mold yet, and it is triangular in shape as opposed to cylindrical as the variations i have seen are. it comes to a -very- fine point and the mold has to be warm so the tails will fill out. might be a little too fine in that regard. it took me 9 hours to complete the whole thing, which is nuts to me since they are so small. you would think "smaller bait, less time to make", but it doesnt work out like that unfortunately. smaller baits, smaller tooling...more broken cutters and more time.
A skill I wish I had. Nice !
Here's another that has caught 5 fish species - the claw off a bass craw lure added to a grub body:

One way to put to use soft plastic lures collecting dust for years. A little imagination can come up with excellent hybrids that really work! Posted many on crappie.com.
The name of this bait has been changed to the Ice Shard. I didnt realize do-it had a similar bait under the same name. My apologies to do-it, had no intention of taking someone else's name. I really dont know what others have, I just kinda keep my head down and do my own thing. brian
I doubt anyone would have sued. Generic names are used by many who sell lures sometimes with minor modifications. The only lure produced where the designer / seller had design rights was the Sweet Beaver and he sued Lurecraft.com for selling the mold. The copyright expired so now every Tom, Dick & Harry is making them which are almost exact copies. (Never liked the lure myself...) On top of that, many soft plastic lures sold look alike in every detail and no one is suing anyone because of that.
