After months of testing SS, I came up with a good formula. I am one of those people, who, if I can't see it, it's not there. SO- HERE IS THE DEAL, lay your nibbles in a top- I use nibble jar tops- let them dry some, and then spray with SS. Let soak for awhile and go to your favorite lake. You get the best of both baits!! It does work & work good. Try it, you will like it.

Actually this thread has me thinking how to make the Slab Sauce into nibble. What about using small strips of leather or something that's soaked with sauce?

I did like those Gewbers, Make them with Slab Sauce, Maybe?

A little bit of trial and error, input from guides, plus a bunch of testing by members over time. Like g said, it started maybe ten years ago and I tried everything, and the end two products were gewbers, and the current slabsauce.Quote:

Slab- I did not know the gewbers were SS, interesting, I did like them, handy. I could see were they could be a pain. Hopefully, this thread will help you sell more.

Wondering how dried out pork fat just under skin would work once resoaked in SS ?
I make my own pork trailers from rawhide dog chews. Keep in brine. I good thought for sure!
Was thinking dehydrated slow not enough to dry out, then rehydrate with slabsauce, if I'm not mistaken the uncle Josh's had a hole punched in it to get hook through.
Yup! That’s exactly what I was thinking when I mentioned that. Those worked great, last a long time and were very tough. Wouldn’t take much just a little strip soaked in sauce and put on hook.
Bet you got the Big Gewber thinking of a name for it already!! Tried it with leather shoe strings. I now mix slab sauce with a few other top secret ingredients to make my own nibbles out of plastic.
Gibels ! These are all 80% sauce and ingredients and 20% plastic. I just squeeze a little between soaks!

I make the nibbles the same way you make injection plastic baits. Trial and error on mixing. Got to be very careful with hot plastic. I opened a can of nibbles and went to the big fish pet store and smelled everything they had for tank fish and got anything that smelled fishy. Tried nibbles but the heat messes up the smell to me. Put it all in a coffee blender and blend. Then I mix it in the plastic. Really have to be VERY CAREFUL adding anything to hot plastic. Shoot the mold you see in the pic. Makes 1/4 inch balls and the other baits in the pic I use also on my casting jigs!
