Well with weights like that they may need to have a traffic cop at the Butla ramp the rest of the season. :Rofl
A great day at Butla- congrats to all, But, beware it can put you down quick!
We had a 2.72 big fish, good for 15th place in that category

That's some amazing numbers for Fall fishing and no eggs in their bellies. Never fish Butla and probably never will being its so far away but goodness gracious that it awesome the fish are so healthy.
Amazing!!
It is definitely feast or famine at that place. I love the challenge though. We had a 2.85 big fish which was 6th biggest and ended up 21st overall. I learned a lot and look forward to going back

That was a heck of a day for all!! That was a lot of good fish.
Went tuesday, one dink in three hours. The hurricane area.
What’s impressive is the guy that won this tournament. He’s never fished it. What’s also mind blowing he is leading the act on grenada. He’s never fished grenada either. Single pole is all he does. He was teamed with brad chappel but his name isn’t with brad. Brad long lines. They single poled arkabutla. This guy is the next generation of crappie fishermen.
Livescope. Heck they find a fish then they run him down until he bites can’t do that with regular sonar but u can with livescope. I guarantee u take his livescope he’s as harmless as a church mouse
You're prolly right, slabin....BUT I think it takes away from a fisherman's knowledge and experience of locating, patterning fish with your expertise to catch them the old school way, when you only had a cane pole with a cork and minnow like I was raised by my Dad crappie fishing. I hope this sport doesn't get where it's all about winning tournaments (nothing wrong with that). For myself, I will remain harmless as a church mouse, 'cause I can't afford it, and don't really want it. To me, it's just like harvesting a deer that are penned up....no sport in that. jmo
