Almost fully dressed
With the other woman gone, I had to bring the replacement up to speed. Several repairs kept me busy and the list is thankfully getting shorter. When I sold the other boat I left my rod holders bases in place to keep the holes and compressed carpet from looking bad while selling. I had ten holder bases scattered around. They got some holders but I kept my favorites. Now I had no plates to put em in when it’s time to troll. So I placed an ad in the classified section asking if anyone had any they weren’t using that they would part with. Smitty 39363 and crappiemax both responded and I was set up. They fixed me up and shipped at their expense, a wonderful gesture on both of their parts. I just hope they aren’t upset with me for bringing this to light, but I believe in giving credit where credit is due. Thanks so much guys, you helped with an important part of the finishing touches. New seat bases also came this week and I got em all mounted up and ready to fish tomorrow. Having replaced the wood under the decks I took measures to protect the new wood from meeting any water. I both sealed the drilled holes and 3” holes for the seat with polyester resin but also used 5200 around the bolts. Down side, I was a mess. That stuff gets everywhere, and acetone is the only answer for clean up. All that behind me, I stood back and realized how close to done I was, but I was missing something. She was still part naked, and the boss would be disappointed. Back to the house and came back with some dressing for the windshield. A mans gotta show his colors. Thanks for following the progress, it’s been kinda fun. Maybe I’ll see you on the water.......Skeet

Very nice progress Brother Skeet. She's lookin' good for sure and appears to be ready for a good layer of fish slime. Congrats on the progress and I know we are all ready to see some good reports of your future fishing exploits and successes. I know the feeling of suddenly looking around and seeing you are at the end of the project... and how good it feels.

I did my best to get the requested reports posted, but they’re on the Florida board. It fishes very comfortably and still needs some fine tuning like a fish box and clip to hold the net when not in use. Thanks for all the interest and good comments, means a lot. Hopefully it may give someone some ideas for their own Dream Boat.

Certainly be better on the knees not having to come up and down on the casting decks.
