That is a fantastic bait! Is that a custom mold? You should sell a ton of them
Very nice Bob.
It is a tough mold to shoot . You have to have the mold very hot and you have to have the plastic around 400° and you have to shoot very fast and hold pressure
Looks good. The fish should like it
whats the name of that one?
I guess with those real thin tentacles you would have to be plenty hot. Have you ever tried lubing up the mold cavity with worm oil or Pam or something? I have read that it helps get the mold filled. I have never tried it. Perhaps someone else on here has. I have a Mo Magic mold that gives me a little trouble at times but I just seem to avoid using it. Maybe I should get it out and give her a try with some oil
I have had mo Magic molds they can be a little bit finicky at times you may want to shoot them pretty fast and hold pressure and try that with them just make sure you run your plastic about 350° you may want to heat up your injectors if they are cold also you may want to put your molds into a toaster oven and warm them up see if that helps you. This mold here I had to shoot very fast the plastic was 350° and you have to hold pressure and shoot fast it helps like I said to heat up the molds in the injectors.

is this plastic designed to be hooked with the tail flat or with it vertical like a normal fish tail?. i do know with it flat it will most likely fall slowe rand act more like a crawdad.
Two baits in one. Fast or slow fall.
Yes you can fish it both ways vertical or horizontal It is designed to fish horizontal
Actually around 290.
Bob, I'm not big on skirted grubs though I know they are excellent for most bites. The higher the temperature I've found yellows light, translucent or clear colors faster which I prefer and I'm a stickler for true color especially when using fine glitter - and glitter in general - will fade faster at over 300 degree on the reheat. I don't sell lures so restocking or making lures in a large quantity for quick sales is not an issue.
I stopped using a spoon as a mold years ago though I still use a teaspoon (lure on the top) or tablespoon (one on the bottom) for topwater bass baits.

When the time is right for surface lures in weeds, bass clobber them! I do use silicone strands for the rear skirt which sways with every waddle and floating plastic.
For spoon minnows, I only needed a glossy floor tile held at angle pouring a wide area, cutting the minnow shape (box cutter blade at left) and dip the body three times. A lure I can always depend on regardless of season.

But as you well know they sell aluminum molds that do the same thing far faster and in different shapes and sizes depending on the mold:

Plus, I can always cut off the thin tail and attach it to a thin flat body using a candle flame. Thin flat bodies and tails used with very slow retrieves provide the action I prefer and especially under a float.
Messing with the new color.

Looks good Bob. Those Shad stingers in that color work great for me. Caught a bunch on them.
Looks Great Bob... I like the looks of that Bait.
I like it and in that color!! Cotton Candy!! Is that on your site yet??
There are some colors on the website I cannot post anymore we’re in the transition or switching different website provider so it will be a while before we add any more to the website but the website is good to use on what I have on it right now. There will be some major changes to make it a little bit better .
