I have used shrimp for years but never thought of putting salt on them. I will have to get some of the salad size and try it out.
Salted shrimp and salted clams works great. Have used both for years. Started using both commercial fishing salt water and found the St Johns Shellcrackers, Gills and Cats love both as well. Not to mention the ease of storage. Great bait.

Will have to give them a try
I will make me some I think , shrimp is a really good bait to ketch with no doubt
Mine are soaking now.
Well if shrimp work, why wont small slivers of squid?
I made me a batch and used em last Thursday, salted and added garlic powder. Tipped jigs and caught cats, wiper, ditch pickle, drum, and 22 crappie. No bluegill which was what I went for.Attachment 357367Attachment 357368Attachment 357369

I thawed out around 1/4 of the bag and cut em up in different sizes, a lot of the shrimp were already in smaller pieces. 1/4 bag will make a bunch of baits.

when you put the shrimp bits in the ziplock, are they damp or dry
I drained off water but they were still moist. Have read where drying in the sun helps or zapping in a microwave oven. And I read when they hit the water they moisten up again so you may need to experiment and see what works for you. They stayed on good enough for me the 1st time I used them and I caught lots of fish mostly crappie.

Shrimp smelling Crappie nibbles made with real Shrimp. I guess. Lol
Popcorn shrimp a bunch cheaper than crappie nibbles, labor is involved but worth it in my opinion.

This may be worth a try for the white perch(morone americana) in my local lakes.
I made some up, but for some reason can't remember to get them out of the refridge to take with me. I am usually at the lake when I remember I left them at home...
