Tired of poor vise but don't need top quality either.
Dont need to rotate. Just a solid vise. Good jaws.
Thanks

I have been enjoying my peak vise. Having the ability to rotate does come in handy and I’m learning to utilize it more.
I would try this one. Was reading on their site the other day and had pretty good reviews for inexpensive vice. Can’t seem to find those reviews now.

A Danvise will do what you need to get it done.
I have 2 cheap vises that work pretty good.
Looks like a well made vise I’d like to see one in person or know someone that has used it.

That looks pretty cool. Sort of a Regal jaw design. Looking around on internet I see several of those type designs now. For price might be hard to beat. Found another similar design but with pedestal base. Don’t know anything about it though.

That looks almost the same. Could be made by same company. From what I was reading need to find where they are made. The ones like the one I posted that are made in India are supposed to be good quality but some are made in China and their quality is supposed to be not as good.
I was looking at the one Cray posted and came across this one which I like the looks of. I have a cheap vise and wish I had bought a better one to start with and this one is not that much more. JS Tools EZ Rotary Vise | J. Stockard Fly Fishing

I bought a second-hand, non-rotary Peak several years ago for about $40 and have been very pleased with it. It's done everything I've ever needed it to do.
I guess it depends on if you want a cheap vise that maybe you will like some and maybe you will not like it much and for sure selling it second hand is not going to go well! If you really want a good vise for the money, soon a little to get a good vise that will last a lifetime! You can also have a better chance of selling it if you decide you don't wan to tie or if you decide to move up to a different vise. The good vises all have their best parts and maybe their weakness which can be as simple as hand size and how much room you have around the jaw. Anyway like most things you get what you pay for!
The vises I like that are not the most high end ones....(I have also used both of these)

I tie on a Nor-Vise, but it's more to the higher end at $400, but there are vises a lot higher than this. Just saying!
