Is this a new install of the 360 or has it been operating correctly and the interference just started?
What changed? New TM?

New install, it did the same on my other rig and I never figured it out. Before the other rig died the 360 quit and I sent it in to be fixed, upon return it never got install as I had to change mounts on the new to me rig. Put it on yesterday and hit the water today and the interference is there when the trolling motor is on. I undid the ethernet cable that goes to the Link trolling motor with no change. The electronics are all on their own battery and in no way connected to the trolling motor wires.
If the transducer is moved away from the trolling motor does it still have the inference?
I miss understood. I was thinking the transducer was mounted on the trolling motor.
Is there a common battery charger that connects to TM batteries and electronics battery ...??
Rickie
Multiple trolling motors on multiple boats. Seems the only common denominator is the transducer and the head unit itself. Possibly something wrong with the sheilding in the transducer
Chane the power supply of the 360 to the same battery the trolling motor is. Sounds like you are picking up interference from the brushes of the .trolling motor. I work with robotics, servos ,plc's , and computers. Given the interference we would ground the power supplies.
What would i ground it to?

I try making the negative sides of the battery common
Have you tried adding the ground ring to the Ethernet switch on your current installation? Does it still do it if you go from the 360 directly to the a unit with your Ethernet cable?
Maybe try it to the battery negative as well as the anode on the main motor. (Independently and together)
Does your trolling motor have a built in transducer that you might be using when trolling motor is deployed and 360 is on? If so, is it pinging when the 360 is also pinging?
Any chance of a common ground?
Have you tried a ferrite ring? They work in some situation.
Will check on these things when I get off the water tomorrow. Don't think it has anything to do with the internal tranducer in the trolling motor, it is always on and it only does this when the trolling motor itself is running.
See if this helps. https://www.minnkotamotors.com/suppo...erence-my-unit
The grounding checks will need to be tested on the water to know for sure if they make a difference.
