I'm working the evening shift today. I wish I could go. What time you going? If I'm not to tired and my son wants to go we many slip out there with you! Where you planning on being set up?:popcorn
I am planning on looking around the area near buster Boyd. Will be the boat with blue water lights and red lighting overhead. Can’t miss me lol.

Sorry! I didn't make it out last night. We got hammered yesterday at work. Everybody and their brother was out there. Did get a trolling motor and an old belt driven air compressor. :peacesmile Hope you found a spot and caught some fish. I'll make it out there one night this week and find me a spot to go to Saturday night. Even if I don't, I know where they use to be and (IF) I beat Turkeyfoot there I'll do pretty good most likely. Let hear what you got last night! :fish
Well either I was in the wrong places or something else was going on I didn’t see much and nothing on the rods. So I am not sure I am going to have to find a better spot next week!!! Ready for the CLASH or not. It’s almost here.

Buster Boyd bridge itself holds fish around the pylons, only problem there is everybody in the world wants to cruise by close and you can't sit still to catch fish. Lots of choice places to go Catawba Creek :ThumbsUp Mills Creek, Jumping Jacks Icon and Crowders Creek :juggle Two spots there I like. Just got to go and set up and wait them out. :cheers2
Marked a lot of fish hugging the bottom underneath the bridge. But didn’t stop.

I recommend that you do your "scouting". Like anything else, you will get out of it whatever you put into it.;) Already have a pre-determined place that you know youre going to fish that night but spend the last hour before dark riding other likely areas/creeks idling around looking for bait and/or fish. Study the lake bottom, struct, and depths where you see things on your graph and whatever you see you can make plans to fish there the "next time" you go fishing. On the next trip to the lake do the same thing. Set up where you think your luck will be the best according to your scouting trips. Keep scouting. When you do find those good spots you'll likely know it and can plan sitting over them on your NEXT trips. That's how you will "learn" your lakes. Since I didn't night fish the summer months I'd suspect the places you find in the summer will be VERY different than your winter night stalking places. In the winter time finding the bait is the key and I'd suspect that holds true during the summer months too. Ive always felt the fish are not gonna be far from their food. JMO.....
I agree with you on this. Didn’t stay long in places that didn’t show anything. We did exactly what you said kinda look around mostly and the places that had the bait we sat for a while with the lights on and saw what came in.
