Anyone have the latest on the Lowarance Ghost Trolling motor? Has it been seen in the wild?
Yes, it will probably start shipping to dealers in Nov or so. You can pre-order the Ghost from a few places like Russell Marine
This is great news!! Do any pros or other people have beta units? I haven't seen any reviews posted is why I ask....
I'd love to volunteer to be a beta guy for fall MN fishing, I just bough a new Terrova 24 V and could give some good feedback comparison. :)
Did everyone get the email a while ago for the pre order?
What do you think? To me it's a bit too much for an out of the gate item missing some big features....
We have been taking pre-orders on the Lowrane GHOST. I'm showing anywhere November 25th ETA from a couple of suppliers.

not trying to beat a dead horse but does anyone have one of these yet? thoughts on it?
Last time I heard Lowrance didn’t have the software download ready to sync using your Lowrance depth finder to the ghost trolling motor yet. I know there was discussion about it last month.
i find it amazing that there is such little chatter overall for such a highly anticipated offering. I'm bummed as i thought this would be the way to keep me in the lowrance electronics with the advanced integration to the trolling motors.
out of luck for now i guess
How many people are going to blow 3 grand or more for a trolling motor? And will it work with other makers depth finders? Or just Lowrance? Is the software available yet to download on your Lowrance? Small group of buyers As I see it and I am sure it’s quality made but to break into a already established market with a untried product it’s a rough road to hoe. Takes time.
Yeah, that makes sense, guess i was hoping for too much.
I know brushless was a huge deal in RC cars and drones, any idea if it really matters in the trolling motor application?
No electrician but from what I understand it should be a vast improvement in power and battery longevity and much quieter. What we all need to remember is most of this stuff is geared toward the bass fishing market then up north wallet and we are kinda a after thought. But as they get introduced and we take them and use them and suggest improvements think you will se slight changes in things like shaft length. They not going to do much until they see sales numbers and acceptance by general fishing public. Personally I’d only be interested if I happened to be in the market already for a new motor. I wouldn’t jump on band wagon at that kind of pricing just because it’s new. Let them bass guys go out and do the field testing. Seems they have way more money or better credit than most of us do lol.
