I’ve been looking at those. I have the American angler platinum or what ever it’s called it’s a step up from the regular one. It’s not supposed to get hot but it gets real hot after 15-20 fish. Might have to check these out. How many can you go threw before having to recharge?

I got it out and cleaned 20 with the factory charge. The charge indicator showed 2 out of 4, it was down to 1 when I finished. Knife was not hot at all, I can clean em pretty quick, maybe 15 minutes to clean 20.

$159 at Lakeway, haven't found it any cheaper anywhere else either.

Bubba Blade 110V Electric Fillet Knife | Academy
Cordless is awesome. 2 blades not too thick to do precise work on crappies ? Just wondering

All the blades seem to work fine on crappie

I could fillet a 7” bluegill easy. The blades are really good. Considered ordering the blades for my American angler since they’re interchangeable.

I think I'm going to give her a try. I've got to say that I have been pretty disappointed in my American Angler. My American Angler doesn't seem to have the cutting power as my older Rapala, it's an act of congress to get the blades in the AA as well. You have to put them in one at a time (so the angle will be just right). Thanks for the info ya'll on the Big Bubba!
I recently bought a Bubba Blade rechargeable filet knife. Today EZ and I caught 21 good crappie at Grenada. I used my new knife for the first time. With a fully charged lithium ion battery, 4 lights showing on the charge indicator, I filleted our catch. When finished I still had a 3/4 full charge. I filleted several 15 inch fish and didnt even feel the ribs. This thing is awesome.
Sounds like I need one!
Man I've had one good American Angler lasted for years. Bought the AA pro model and something was wrong with it so I sent it in for warranty work in January, still haven't heard back from them after several attempts to get a response. So I bought a 120v Bubba Blade in March and was happy with it, never felt hot to my hand and cut well. Well the gears stripped last week so now I'm trying to find my receipt to see if I can get it fixed. I may have to go back to fixed blade filet knife so I can't tear it up.
This may be something someone wants to consider if they are thinking about buying a Bubba Blade Electric Knife. I copied and pasted this straight from their warranty information page. I'm in the process of filing a warranty claim when I saw this. I bought mine from Academy Sports because I needed it asap otherwise I probably would have bought it from Amazon. I'm glad I didn't.
"We only warranty knives that are purchased from our authorized Bubba Blade dealers (in store or online) or our website (BUBBA | Fishing Gear, Knives, and Tools). Web-only resale businesses (example: Amazon, eBay, or other similar websites) are NOT authorized dealers."
Which blade are y’all using with it. Their website shows it comes with 4 blades

Taking me a little getting used to, hand is used to a smaller model but it will be fine as I get used to it
Are they fast or slow? Meaning RPM wise.
Years ago I tried a battery knife (can’t remember the brand) but it was a disappointment compared to a corded knife.
I would love to have a powerful cordless knife.

Very fast knife. Better rpm’s than any of my American angler knives.

When the American Anglers were made in Arkansas they were awesome. I still have one i got in 2002ish to clean white bass while i was in college and it still cleans fish. Plannin to clean some before 6:30 tomorrow when the woo pigs begin to dismantle the school in Oxford.

Good news on the Bubba Blade warranty claim. They paid the shipping both ways and replaced mine with a new knife and 4 new blades, the original only came with 2 blades, in about a week. I just wouldn't buy a Bubba Blade from Amazon because they don't consider them an authorized dealer. Still haven't heard from American Angler since January warranty claim. Go Bubba!
