Need recommendations for some plastic for bluegill. I know crappies plastic can catch bluegill but most of my are 1.75-2” long. I want maybe something smaller that fit 1/32oz #6 hook. Thanks.

What about Trout Magnets? They are 1.25" long. Also Bobs Jigs (Snake River) now has a 1" minnow stinger.

Thumbs up on trout magnets - 1st time I used them I tipped with a crappie nibble and caught a nice mess of gills.

Well...for me it is a Trout Magnet.
Regards
Trout Magnet
Bob at Bob's Jigs makes some great tiny plastic baits!! I just ordered some and they are amazing. Approx 1" and work great on 1/64th jig heads.
Trout Magnet or any other look alike tail, mostly in black!
cut some off...make it smaller
Mr. twister , southern pro , big bite , Slider , all make small versions .
Check out the Charlie B's on Charlie Brewer line. They are about 1 inch with a paddle tail. Come in as many colors as crappie jigs.
My go to is Trout Magnets and 1” CB Sliders. I have purchased more expensive/exotic plastics for bluegill but the two I mentioned work just as good, if not better.

Here is the link for the Bob's Jigs page 4 It's the Tiny Stinger 1". He's got some great colors and the tails on them have plenty of motion.
Stinger spike tails and the like are one of the best tail designs for slow retrieves. Flat tail grubs are also excellent. If fish aren't hitting 1 3/4", downsize to 1.5" or smaller, but remember one thing - downsizing isn't always necessary:

(note: you might try shortening the CM by one segment only)
Just remember pauses in a very slow retrieve are key to getting hit. (Good jig and hook size BTW.)
Hope you're using a 4# test line even if it's a leader. Light jigs need less line bow than any lure and 8# test isn't going to cut it. I use 8# test/2# diameter braid.
Good ideas thanks all, I’ll try to shorten my crappie magnet and CB slider or even some of other crappies plastic I have to about 1-1.25”. Now time to learn how and where to locate them.
Not plastic but a little squirrel tail jig works wonders and it takes a lot of fish to wear one out.
Try Gulp Minnows, I use chartreuse 1 inchers. Under a float and a small split shot to keep it down. The gills seem to love em. Once they hit the water it only takes a few seconds for a bite for me at least.

Trout Magnets for gills also they have been a good smallmouth bait on Center Hill. Bison, Bulldog, Sow Bug Red and Lime green have been great. Catfish even bite these things.
A 1.25 Lindy Watsit and a 1.5 Southern Pro bream bug are my favorite bluegill plastics.
Attachment 352697Attachment 352698White trout magnet, or gulp maggots work great up here in Oregon. I also love to use 1.5" white/red crappy tubes slid over a #8 egg hook. slow retrieve under a weighted bobber.
Normally you guy fish for bluegill with bobbers? How deep? I’m thinking of cast it out let sink and slow drag or hop.
I use several methods. I've used a bobber with red worms, jigs etc. I will also fish a red worm with a basic hook and small sinker on the bottom and also cast and slow retrieve a small jig.
I usually go about 2 feet down..
The most common bream here, at least for me, is the green sunfish. These have a lot bigger mouth than say a bluegill, and can be caught on bigger lures. But ... my favorite that catches all types of bream, crappie and small bass, is the South Pro Creek Spin with a small plastic. Trout magnets are good, but a bit small in diameter for the creek spin.
I haven't found these for sale anywhere and had to order them direct, 1 inch Charlie Brewer sliders. The 1 1/2 inch is good too, and available lots of places.

The bream here seem to like bright colors, especially PINK and CHARTREUSE.

I caught this spotted bass a couple years ago, on a creek spin.

I like the looks of that creek spin.

Lunkerhunt Maybug in olive is my go to soft plastic for gills and redear. I cut the first two segments off and fish them on a 1/48 jig with a #10 hook, no collar. Lot's of fry in the lakes now so try to keep my baits around an inch long. No need to tip these with anything.
Johnson beetle spin in 1/32 worked great for me as well (https://amzn.to/2P0mofp)
i love to use little spinners for blue-gill , thanks for the info , i will order some of these .........i like to take the jig-head part of a beetle spin off and replace it with some of my favorite little jig-heads.......don't really know if it helps catch more fish , i just like to tinker with them....
