Hey everyone we had a great time last February catching up with each other, so let’s do it again!
I will make reservations at Oliveras in Portland for August 24th (Saturday) at 4:00 p.m.
Let’s have a head count by responding to this post by August 12th so I can confirm how many are coming.

I'll get with my parents and get back to you. I do beleive that there is a benefit walleye tournament that I might be invovled with on that day however.

Fall camp is an easy one. No pressures other than for the guy cooking the fish.
Just doing a follow up to see if any others have decided to come, I don’t want to reserve the big room unless we have enough people to fill it. Otherwise I’ll just reserve a big table.

Mom and dad are headed North that weekend for a benefit golf outing and Brian, Abby, and I will be headed east for a benefit walleye outing. Sorry, but we won't be able to make this trip due to philanthropy work!

Decided to cut the drive down, so we're holed up at Ionia SRA since yesterday. Didn't bring boat but did bring yak. Maybe I'll try some fishing tomorrow before the gathering. Attachment 353435

"WOW"... What a surprise! I never expected our get together was to celebrate my retirement. What a great group of friends you are. I always thought when I joined CDC it was just going to be a computer/social media thing. Never thought I would gain so many friendships. I'm looking forward to new fishing adventures with you all. I'm especially excited to hear a bigger group of us may be road tripping in November to invade the south [emoji3]. I've got a new shirt to sport when we go and gas money to get there! Can't wait to try out the new salmon jigs either....Thank you all so much!!!

We had a great time and was very happy to be a part of your retirement Jeff.
On the way home we talked about what a nice group of people we are blessed to be a part of, the friendships we have made through the forum, get togethers and the fish camps.

It was fun being in on the surprise despite not being able to attend. Congrats on this milestone.
I couldn't wait to see the expression on Jeff's face when he found out this party was for him.....in his words it was "Wow".....like shock and disbelief!
What a great time getting together and catching up, and the added interest of a couple more Yankees headed down to DarBonne in November! John and Don, don't forget to sport them overalls!
Was also very nice Brian and Carol came to the event.....hope you can make it to more of them!
The food at Oliveras was excellent.
I’m up, these 20 hour days are kicking my behind though.

I had a good time, food was good, but in defense of Olivera’s, and any place a burger no matter what you put on it is just a burger to me.
VBottom has a few Salmon Jigs, Steve has the boat & Waypoints.
There should be a Central Michigan member trip for Salmon Jigging this fall.
I can’t wait to hear about it.
