nice
I have to say, I'm a little disappointed. 3 grand? Yikes.
Would be nice to see something decent that the average guy can afford.
What's to be disappointed in from an add?
3k is steep but let's see how it does on the water.
My Ultrex wasn't cheap but I believe it's worth it for me.
Do not mind spending the money but still disappointed in my Minn Kota Ulterra. Love everything about it but the lousy spot lock. And, yes, it is the new model.

Three new control heads, rebuilt once by authorized dealer (closest to me was 2 hours away), innumerable phone calls while on the lake and their final decision was my center console boat is too light on the front. Go figure that one out.

Hope they come out with a longer shaft version 57" is a little short for most deep-v walleye boats.
Sounds like it was engineered for a bass boat market. Too bad, but probably figured they couldn't compete against minnkota in the north and motorguide in the south. Just hoping to hit that one market of bass anglers willing to dump $3500 without thought. 57" is going to be tight on most deep walleye boats except for the smaller 16'ers, most people want 60" and 65" is even better but not available in most lineups.
I see Lowrance also has a trolling motor coming out. Be interesting to see how they all stack up against one another!
The Lowrance "Ghost" is an interesting concept. No rotating head. It appears as though they are once again targeting the bass market and leaving other markets further behind.
I've learned my lesson long ago in regards to purchasing the latest new trend or product on the market. What seemed like 300 recalls later..... I'll wait a few years until all the kinks are hashed out and they make something that works for me!
Yea $3k is high dollar for an electric motor on a swivel stick.

don't you mean a SWIZZEL stick?? I'd have to be REAL DRUNK to spend that kind of money for a trolling motor
According to the Garmin rep I spoke to, the 57" is actually comparable in length to a 60 inch MK. It's all about how and where the shafts are measured. So based on his logic, the Garmin Force 50" will be closer to a 52-53 inch shaft.
I will say I was very impressed with both the Lowrance and Garmin motors in functionality and build quality. The Lowrance GHOST did seem to have a very slight delay in motor movement vs pedal input. But I like the stationary head on the Lowrance. No cables to worry about winding or pinching.

Agreed. I have an ultrex i will stay with. Brian at bbg sold me that one a couple years back and i will stay where i am for now. Only reason i would go garmin is because of my graphs connecting. If it could follow contours that would make me think more about it. Still doubt I would jump for the price tag and being a new version. If the spotlock held me in like a 1’ circle......
