I keep a 20 yr old road atlas with me in my travels besides using 2 diff map programs. Never trust the map programs.

We decided to drop $20 plus tip and ride the shuttle to downtown Nashville to see Jeff Lynne of Electric Light Orchestra. Our seat location is marked on this photo our son took from his seat. Now if I have to ask the loudmouth behind me to shut up during the main act I may get thrown out of Bridgestone Arena. I’ve already asked him twice during the opening act. Attachment 348599

Been there done that and got the t-shirt on the google maps deal. I have learned to verify everything before relying on anything from google maps or google anything.
I guess google is busy with so many monopolistic business activities that they prolly have less and less time for worrying about the smaller things like quality.
That stuff right there ticks me off. Yesterday with Jr and momma at movies woman behind us phone kept ringing and she'd answer it and just talk away. Run completely all over me.Quote:

Having grew up in a military family, served myself, then drove a big rig for as long as my back would take it, I do know how to use a map, road atlas, a compass and protractor...If I'm going acrooss town to a new store, I look it up, sometimes using google street view also...I like to know where I'm going before I get there...
have seen roads on GPS units show roads that actually ended up going into lakes, rivers, and buildings...very funny in hind sight...not so funny at the moment.
The wife and I were in Nashvegas one year and were craving a White Castle. At the time we had the Tom Tom, so we typed in White Castle. Well off we go, and as we drove I could tell that we were not going to find what we were looking for. When we finally “arrived” we were staring at a large tree in the middle of nowhere.

Vicki and I had a wonderful time at the concert. It was great to know the words to every song. Only issue is the crowd stood up from the instant ELO hit the stage and we spent much of the show watching it on the large cell phones and even small tablets of those in front of us who insisted on recording the entire show. At almost 63 the reality has set in——we would have enjoyed the show much better had we been on the side of the arena and not on the floor with several drunks. Vicki is 5’4” and she barely saw 1/2 of the concert.
BTW, loudmouth apologized to us for his actions. Luckily he wasn’t so drunk he wanted to fight about it. I know I’m too old to consider that unless I’m given no other options.

Funny thing, I recently found a bunch of our old concert ticket stubs. One of them was from around 1980 when we saw ELO in the Omni in Atlanta. The ticket price was $7.50!!
Our ticket price last night was $145.00 EACH. Thank goodness our son got them for us for Christmas.

I sure would have liked to see that show. Back in the day you see 2 or 3 headliners for less than 10.00. We still try to attend a couple each year. Going to Peter Frampton, Bad Company & Foghat in the next month.
ELP , there behind the glass stands a real blade of grass be careful as you pass move along move along ….if memory serves me right was my fist concert because deep purple cancelled on the get in free pass we had to all the dallas concerts .
back when I went to about every rock concert imaginable and saw things that for sure don't exist today .
just imagine going to blue oyster cult back when the final song was all of the group playing a guitar at the same time
then imagine led zeppelin played the same place the night before …..ft worth
then get way off track and imagine jimmy page walking on stage with them on that final guitar ripping venue and ripping right along side them .
oh the stories I could tell …..some defy imagination for sure …..:highfive
