A PILE OF SLABS FROM A WEEKEND AT GRAND BAYOU
After catching a nice mess last weekend it wasn't hard to talk Marshall (aka sweat towel here on crappie.com) to come up and hit it again this weekend. We got out there fri after work and picked up around a dozen. Woke up sat morning to pouring rain, waited it out and got out to the lake around 9:30am. As soon as we got to our 1st brushpile the bite was on! All the fish we were catching were big ol slabs 13-14.5" black crappie! (we only caught 1 white) All the seadoos and wake boats started showing up and tossing us around but thankfully a little storm showed up, radar showed it would pass within 30 minutes so we high-tailed it to the resort and got under the boat slip and waited it out. It didn't last long so we ran back out and it was back on! Sun after church we couldn't take it, so we went back out and picked up a few more before heading back home and cleaning em and frying up a mess of em. It was definitely a productive weekend! I believe we're gonna give the brushpiles a rest next weekend and let the big boats and jet skis play
