I'm in it for the tacos.
I went to lake rhodhiss in NC yesterday, and had another great time. I caught lots of bluegill, shellcracker, white perch, and catfish. I decided that I didn't want to bother cleaning the kitties, so a cooler of perch, bluegill, and shellcracker went home with me. The best bait for me was louisiana swamp worms. I threw back many more fish than I kept. Gotta love fresh panfish tacos!

Nice bowl of fillets, and good looking tacos. Also good with blackened fillets.
Any relation to the Tolliver’s in Manchester, TN?

Hey all, thanks for your responses. Here's the answer to all of your questions.
Best bait and my go to on this trip and many others has been louisiana swamp worms. They keep my cooler and belly full of delicious panfish.
I'm not direct kin to those Tolliver's, but there are lots of us in East Tennessee and western NC.
I've tried mango salsa on fish tacos, and you are right it's really good.
I vac packed a bunch of fillets. I think i'm due for more fish tacos. They sure were good!
