Get ready to be aggravated by the floating grass. Other than that, there are fish to be caught. For the past couple years I have caught a limit on 4th of July in 2-3 hours.
:hesaid Hope you have patience! Loose grass everywhere and back!
The persons responsible for putting the eel or ribbon grass in the lake needs to be buried in it. It has about replaced the milfoil and hydrilla as being the biggest pain in trying to fish when pulling and even bank/bridge fishing if a big mat of it has washed in .I have heard it was accidentally introduced from boats that had it in their live well and on the motor. but I think its more probable that the green trout boys intentionally brought it in to give them more grass for their habit.
Do the fish tend to favor flats or ledges more in the summer down there?

I’d check deeper creek Chanel ledges first but I’m sure they will be some out and about chasing shad.

I believe that is eyes and ears waiting for my response to the question...
They will favor both. I typically like some type of edge but catch several in different flats on Gville. Just look for suspended fish on the graph. Not typically looking for big school just scattered fish.
Yes, right time and location you can limit out pretty quickly, but I've also gone back to same area a day later and bomb.
One day, you feel like you have it all figured out and the next you are eating humble pie.
Nothing towards you sir! I was aggregating CallShy just to get a rise out of him! He will shoot straight with ya! Good luck!!!
Yall was right about that grass, it was a constant battle but we managed to catch a few fish. It was slow but we caught some good quality. Most were on jigs but a couple came on crankbait. Attachment 349013
