New Guy

Just joined the forum today and I just wanted to drop in and introduce myself! Still figuring my way around but looking forward to connecting with everyone! My name is Stuart, from north east Texas. I grew in the outdoors but haven’t really crappie fished seriously in 10 plus years, now I have kids of my own (2girls, 3 & 1) and my wife and I spent 4 years in Alaska, moved back to Texas about a year and a half ago fishing in AK is black and white difference from fishing in Texas lol but my three year has been wanting me to take her fishing more and we also just acquired a boat that’ll probably need some tips to get it running back in good shape!

Welcome, there is a Crappie Ketchn feller from that state that has sore lipped most every fish north of the Rio Grande. I hope you can hook up with the ones he hasn't!!!

There's a couple members over that way, though one is more around Houston way, Ketchen, and SK. SK has a you tube channel with a lot of helpful tips that work every where, and ketchen posts here also, very helpful. Everyone here is very helpful and pretty friendly. Welcome from southeast Mo. You'll love the friendly atmosphere around here, and good luck with the boat. If you run into any problems with it and need help or advise, check out the mechanics corner. I have gotten help there on mine. Welcome again...tight lines...

Welcome. If you are in Paris, Cooper lake has good fish in it, I fished it a little while at Camp Maxey. A new lake is going to be opening soon, Bois D'arc lake in Fannin County.

Thanks! I’ve been on Cooper but never fished it. Heard good things though. Heard good things about Crockett and Coffee Mills as well! Im looking forward to that new lake coming in, it’s supposed to be nice

welcome to the forum , Alaska is sure enough miles away from here in several ways not just the fish .
the crappie bite in Texas don't get much better than its been lately .
the lakes are plum full of water and crappie right now .
