Good to see CK

Got out for a short trip with CK and Tackleboat.
Only got perch, all small but lots of them.

Hey Tackleboat maybe the guy in front of the boat caught 100's but the guy in the back of the boat caught a whopping 0!

Thanks Doug and Brettw for a morning out I needed that. There were times I said to myself Aaron would have loved this. Got to see my helix gen3 9 inch for the first time. Going back out next week after rain and tweak some settings. I told Brettw I know somewhere we need to go and it was jackpot. We got in them. The screenshot was not even the good one when they were in there thick.

Brett,

Can you send a picture and/or a link for these flies? I take out kids all the time, and I'd love to find something the perch would eat without having to bait up pounds of minnows!

Fom, get some Sibiki rigs or tie you own. Put a dab of red worm or night crawler on the hooks and go for it! You can catch more at one time with these rigs. Kids will love it! Bang a stick on the bottom of your boat when you find some perch and that will keep them under the boat a little longer. But it is hard to beat Uncle Remus blue attack trained minnow in tough coat skin and scales. :Rofl

That sounds great! I've got a bunch of sabiki rigs I've used to catch herring, and I'm sure they would do a number on the perch also. I got a feeling those special blue minnows would be hard to find around these parts! :yikes

This is what I was using with Brettw. I have a Rattle Master on bottom or use favorite spoon. Tie two of pic above spoon directly to line. Like a drop shot. Wallmart sells them. It is very light and you can see the natural and flash it can give off.

I like those! No wonder the perch think they are the real thing! I think I might have a couple already still attached to the card. I'll dig through my basement and try them out. Thanks!!
