FYI,
They have the ramps pulled from Elk Rock and White breast. Lot more stuff floating, water is getting cloudy. Upper WB is still clear. Got 8 today, biggest 13.5. 12 - 18 ft water, 1-4' down. Along flooded trees. Still eggs in them. WT 63

Went out over the weekend and caught about 20, lots of debris and water clarity has diminished. About the same pattern as Kelvin stated above.
What was the water temp?
LOLyeah I hear ya. I usually wait for 68.5 before I waste the gas.
Are the Ramps open at Elk Rock. White Breast ?

Anyone been out this week? I see its dropping at over 1' per day, just curious how the bite is. Hoping to get out this weekend and give it a go.
We kept 25 Tue and 26 yesterday, biggest 14". Water looks real good, a little trash you have to watch out for. White Bass are starting to be a problem keeping off.
We made it out both Saturday and Sunday. Did ok, think we kept around 30. Caught alot of nice ones Saturday but Sunday had to sort through several small fish. Ran out of minnows so that was a first.
31 today. Biggest 13.75" 18 ft of water suspended around 10 ft deep, trolling.
We caught a bunch long lining jigs Tuesday. They were out deep but suspended up high. Water was SUPER clear
Well fished yesterday at Corallville, not a bite. Today at Red Rock caught 30. You do the math on where I will be next week? Water was 71 degrees both places.
Nothing probably over 13.5. Caught a few pesky white bass too. Seemed to be moving towards main lake areas.
I figured them dropping the lake a foot a day would push em out to the bigger water, sure wish they'd leave it about 760-765 year round
Anyone out today. I will be there Sunday.
I think I'm gna go for a couple hours at daylight tomorrow. Probly go pull some cranks before the lake lice hit the lake
Going to try tomorrow also, whats lake lice? Cotton wood seeds?
Pleasure boaters, jet skis...."lake lice". We pulled cranks today and caught some fish. Got into a couple good schools but never found any big ones. Decent fish but not big. Thermocline is coming on but was still not real defined. I'm sure the lake dropping 2' a day has something to do with that. Wish they would stabilize it and be done with it
Hey LTH you got your ears on? You been out lately?
Glad to hear people are on some fish! How do you like pulling cranks opposed to spider rigging? I've never pulled cranks for crappie.
I will finally get to get out again on Sunday, after some family stuff kept me busy since the beginning of May. Plan on doing some more Livescoping and hopefully finding some Red Rock giants.
Love pulling cranks. Going to try pushing some the next time out. Found them last Monday in 13 of water 6to 8 suspended. The week before 19 to 21. They were in 8 to 12 range. Pink has been the color of choice in the morning and Blue in the afternoon.

We love it, we were pulling and pushing at the same time, I think the pushing out did the pulling. My guess is it's a little easier to set depth, able to use smaller cranks and still get down to depth as well as maybe the boat not spooking them.
We tried spider rigging with minnows, in morning, but all we got were white bass so we switched back.
Pink in morning and blue in afternoon also worked for us.
Looking forward to your Live scope report, it's still on my wish list to get.
I'm a fan of pulling cranks. I think when it gets hot and the fish get a little sluggish you may get more reaction bites you dont get rigging minnows. Just my opinion. Silver/black with a red stripe worked for us the other day. Odd color but it was what they wanted that morning I suppose. Did catch some fish that were literally vomiting balls of half eaten tiny shad.
Thanks for the info guys. I may have to try crankbaiting one of these days. Sounds like a fun way to catch some slabs.
I will be out at sunrise Sunday morning. If you see someone in a black Crestliner VT18, staring down at a screen the whole morning, that'll be me. Come say hi. Good luck to everyone this weekend! Let us know how you do.
Caught one limit today. Fish were biting good. 81 degree water. On the Main Lake following bait.
Did anyone go out today? If so, I'm hoping you had a better day than we did.
We caught a few, but nothing to get excited about. Looking forward to getting out again in the coming weeks.
Anyone going this weekend?
Kept 17 today. Looked like people catching lots of white bass. We were rigging minnows and fish were shallow.
That's a good day! What time of day was that? How shallow were they? Any size to them? Thanks for the info!
Fished from 6 till 11. We caught them in less then 8 ft in the top half the water column. We did not catch any 15s but everything we kept was over 10. To be honest I think any steep break on the channel edge holds crappie. As my fishing pal says when it comes to crappie "less is more"!
