For this forum, it’s sure dead and gone.
Not sure. I try to avoid both funerals and weddings.
It's been dead for several years now. Some of us old timers have tried several times to revive this board but it just doesn't seem to work. If you post an actual fishing report you may see several hundred people have viewed it and maybe get a couple of responses. Kinda like beating a dead horse.
Its sad for sure.
my computer died about 3 month ago . So I haven't missed a lot. I'm using a borrowed one at the moment.
Special K's post is still around. I moved it here to it's own thread: https://www.crappie.com/crappie/way-...-im-convinced/
It was reported as politics and I agree that there was some. Sorry, no politics please, too many emotions. But it's still available on the WOT forum.
Seems like most folks are using Facebook these days. These type of forums are going by the way of the dinosaur....extinct.
Prior to my wife passing in 2013 I fished every weekend and posted every weekend (was averaging 65 trips per year) but fast forward ahead nearly 5 years and with the new wife I am only averaging around 23 trips per year, heck, I have only gone 8 times this year and it's nearly half over. Also seems as if when I go there is nothing to report about. My first 6 trips this year netted a whole 16 crappie total. I am however spending a lot of time on the golf course. It's hard to do both. Wife would lay an egg if I fished on Saturday and golfed on Sunday.
I did move into a new house just over a year ago and have a small 1.5 acre pond out back that I can catch a few crappie on. All are small though. I did sink some structure two weeks ago and hope it brings them up behind my house.
Two like this and one smaller one just like it.

My last trip out, May 18, I went to Chick Lake and got 26 but none over a pound. Prior to that it was May 4 at Burnt Mills where I got 30 with my biggest at 1lb 3oz and 1lb 2oz. I will try to post more often when I do go. I have met a lot of good guys on this site and have even fished with a handful of them.
Thanks for the update TO64. Hopefully you get some more time to fish, and hopefully your pond does well too. Best of luck with everything,
I still post when I go. Few and far between other than to say nice fish or good job etc. In the last 2 years I have been overseas quite a bit and the 3 years before it I lived in Key West. I've been posting on here ever since the first Northwest River tournament. Met some good folks here and lost some good folks due to age or cancer of some sort but had I not got on here or went to any tournaments I wouldn't have met them at all. I don't have face chat or snap book whatever it is.
Summertime is particularly tough as my job severly limits my fishing time. However in the late fall/ early winter its on for me. Ill try to post more and will continue the bash. This coming year will be the 8th year. It grows bigger every year. Thanks to C.c for the ability to post our pics.
I would post more but not doing a lot of crappie fishing. Catch them in winter but if the river is not muddy I’m after those brown bass. Sure would like to attend the yellow perch bash but four hours each way is just to far for my old butt now. Maybe make one at Biggs.
I'm newer to the forum and love it. It's exactly what I was looking for and has helped me learn the fine are of crappie fishing and has helped me to land crappie!

Starting in 17 I got rear ended badly on I 64 interchange. Then following that I was having heart problems, followed by surgery. During that father in law passed. Thanksgiving wife has to go in for emergency surgery to remove three blood clots. I have been on the board some here but a lot at the jig tying site. Was at the December bash, I have been doing Bob's Tournaments for three years now. I know I have posted it here. Yea some of us have moved away, on other State sites, or have just passed. Life can throw you a curve ball when you least expect it. I post when I have something to say. As its summer now I will stay away from Bob's and fish the creeks near me. To many fools on the river now for me. I will try to post more here on the Va site also. Attachment 346087Attachment 346088Attachment 346089
