I went 1 time for the 1st time about a month ago in 20 yrs, fished 4.5 hrs and never got a hit. Talked to a guy who lives on lake and he plain said fishing sucks he goes to Raccoon or Cataract.. what makes it worse I bought a season pass. The guy said they have a problem with water quality or something they cant figure out why the fish are not doing very good, all I know is lake looks really good but its like fishing in a desert.
Did you do any good 2 yrs ago?
I caught some 8" ers so I was hoping maybe it would be coming around by now. They have had a bad shad problem down there in the past. Its a shame to hear that its not coming around cause its a real nice lil fishing lake with not much boat traffic

I used to catch alot of nice bass there 20 or so yrs ago, it was nothing to catching a 100 bass in a day. Most were smaller bass but caught some decent ones also.
I may go back and try it agin one more time.theres a couple pics from 2017 on their FB page with real nice crappie a guy caught. the new manager said during the week your lucky if theres 2 boats on lake.
I'm pretty sure me or a buddy of mine will be giving it a shot over the weekend. I will give update.

good deal, would like to get some use out of the season pass I bought anyway..
Did you make it out to Glenn Flint this weekend by chance?
No I did not ! My son broke his wrist in 2 places friday evening. Took him to clinic & they recommend we go to ortho indy on Saturday morning. So I spent over 1/2 of my day there. Sorry I'm not able to help you out. I will let you know if I get down there.

no problem, sounds like his weekend didn't go too well. Hope it didn't end up being too bad.
The fish are there. Try the upper 1/3rd of the lake and concentrate on the downed wood and standing timber. Have to fish tight to the cover in the stained water. You should find fish up to 12 to 13 inches with a bigger lunker here and there. Fish are there but the lake has a ton of bait so they don't have to work hard to find a meal.
We did fish the timber(we fished everywhere) and vertical jigged right beside the trees and never had a hit, will probably go back and give it another go here soon..
A buddy of mine went down there memorial weekend & caught some nice ones. 5-6 ft of water around laydowns.

well definitely going to have to give it another try.
I was at Glen Flint last week on vacation. I caught a Crappie weighing 2.5 pounds, 16.5" long and 6" wide. Biggest Crappie I have ever caught.
You sure you were in Indiana ? Didnt know we had anything that big here. [emoji23] Great job though ! Any pictures ?

Friend of mine and his wife were at the Coon couple evenings ago, caught crappies with no problems, then got into chasing the boiling white bass feeding on top of the water catching a ton of them. White small spinner type baits with Curley tail plastics on the white bass and he mostly jigs for crappies.
oh give me a break. there are plenty of 16" crappie in this state. seems to be a lot more in the northern half of the state though. I have seen them up to 21". the guy held it up next to my back side window of my truck and it was same size. the pic hangs in the local bait shop. if you want them that big you have to fish where they live that's all. personally I like the 12-14"ers to eat.
I have 4 over 16 in my freezer if you want them.lol never really could come off the money to get them mounted.
