[QUOTE=lvoorhies;3835605]I sure hope your right.
Me too!! That would save a lot of headache!
Ivoorhies,
We just need to pray for no rain. That projection includes the long range weather forecast from the NWS and they're calling for little or no rain from now to the 20th.
I hope you are correct, but level is now 49.96 and rising 4 inches a day presently. That forecast is only 6 inches over current stage 8 days out. Hopefully the Red and Black Rivers crest soon for that to come true.

The cabins are made in such a way that they can be elevated for high water periods. Someone was using their heads when they designed those cabins.

This is just one place and not even the fastest water that is spilling into the Ponchatrain from the Bonnet Carrie.

This is the water at the Morganza Spillway. On my way down to Grand Isle to do a little salt water fishing. Thought y’all would be interested in what we were seeing.

Well, we are at 50.6 as of 3:00p.m. and still trending about 2.5-3 inches every 24 hours. Looks like it's gonna go past it. Black showing a crest on the 18th about 3-4 more inches, so hopefully the lake won't rise much more a few more inches. Fingers crossed. I know I've got water in one bedroom. Hoping the rest of the camp will be spared.
Jonathon we're pulling for you, good luck.

Thanks guys! Three out of last four years is a tough pill to swallow. Although I’m not happy about it and what’s to come over the next few months, it is just a camp. I’m sure there are a lot of other people right now that are in a worse situation. Many people are being affected by this high water and I hate to see it. I pray for those that are being displaced from their homes and pray that this water leaves soon. Everyone stay safe through this troubling time.
Micro you sure have a good looking crew there.
Glad you all got out in the yard.

It's has been rough the past few years there. My fishing/hunting camp has only been in hunt mode for the past 3 years. It stays flooded. I've had a camp there since 1992, it wasn't like this back then. Our leaders need to learn a few lessons about lowering the river levels in the winter in anticipation of the rains and snow melt that is coming. Thank the good Lord my camp is safe from the floods. I can't imaging having to deal with a flooded mess every year.
Larto water gage at 52.45 this morning and still rising. Needs to drop.
Uncle Buds cabins was on ch 5 news this morning talking about the same thing HIGH WATER. On my side of the river the water is as high now as it was in 2016.
Needs to drop bad. I’m having withdrawals. LOL

OK, the level seems to have peaked at 52.5' (after a 1' correction to the gauge, which I will explain later).
Hopefully, the floodwater from the Arkansas River will not cause it to rise further.
I hope you and everyone else is doing OK.
After spending 6 mos. at Uncle Buds campground this past winter. It's hard to imagine that much water. Feel bad for Lance & Stacey it's got to be hard on their business. Slick & Connie, Pete & Po, all the friends we made this winter. God Bless all you Louisiana folks affected by the high water
It is not just the Arkansas River -- was watching Weather on Dish and there had been one area that had 24 inches of rain in 3 days hitting the Mississippi... when the Levees were built by the Army Corps of Engineers they were thinking about normal flooding instead of Catastrophic --- If the Levees were built 200 yards further back from the river on both sides there would never have been a break in any area -- they counted too much on the flood control lakes in North Mississippi --- that is my thought on it but I do not have a degree in anything but Common Sense and Hard Knocks
Hay Girl I got 3 weeks to catch a 6 inch crappie to get that golden Shiner -- better get fishing --- :biggrin
Six inches? Wow. LOL. I sure wish I could but I won’t be able to get back in the lake for at least three more weeks. As long as the water keeps dropping and the rain stays away. I miss it so much too. I live my life threw y’all posts now. LOL

As high as the water is at Monroe -- I am surprised the level on D'Arbonne is at Pool stage now .. Had to take a Dog to vet and 6 boats passed me on the road that had pulled out before 9:30 in less than 10 miles
Well looks like I’ll be back at the camp soon. A truck made it all the way to my neighbors camp.

Well we still have a few feet before we can go by truck. This was Attachment 345867taken on the 7th of June.
Thanks, and thank God its only a 15 x 20 room. We pulled everything out before the water came up. I hope it will be done before the CDC spring gathering.
