My son and I are headed over Thursday for a couple days. Does anyone have a recent report. I figured they would be in the creek channels but I haven't fished much after spawn.

there should be some around the spawning area and may be still some that are spawning.
I will try there first then try the ledges. I'll have my 2 year old son with me so I don't really know how much fishing I'll get to do but he always loves to go.Quote:

Caught 17 today in 20-25fow on the flats. Nothing on a jig. Minnows only. Try then again tomorrow.

Good deal. I found some beds and caught shellcracker pulling jigs up there the other week. I had caught specks off of it 2 days before.

We didn't try specks shallow. We talked to a couple men and they hadn't had a bite shallow so were went deep. The ones we caught was around structure at the mouth of creeks.

Oh ok. Most of the ones we caught were around 10. We were spider rigging and the bigger ones wouldn't even make the rod tip bounce. We would just see the line move sideways. The smaller fish would knock the fire out of it.
