is that the ramp east of elgin on 72...Im thinking about going there myself...

No trouble! Spring creek ramp you turn off of Hwy 20 at cotton Gin in Courtland or you can Turn at Mallard Creek off of HWY 20 and it will take you to it.Quote:

Not much luck after the cold front weekend before last. Couple of smaller crappie along with several good sized striped bass and one largemouth. One blue cat all caught longlining roadrunners. 8 to 12 ft. of water.
You were right water was clear. Should have been a Perfect Day yesterday. I had 3 large females that I caught in 15-25 ft. All three were absorbing their eggs. I fished 4hrs loaded back up and went to Shoals Creek and finished with 11. Things do not look good for Spring Creek.

Went to Bear Creek yesterday. Water was dingy color. Trolled hard from 7:00am to 3:30 pm for six keeper fish. Most were in 12 to 14 ft. water. The cold fronts and rain have scattered the fish. Tried some 6 to 8 water and deeper water with no luck. Only had 2 large females with eggs. Were not bloody so i don't think they have moved up shallow yet. Maybe better by the weekend.
I'm hoping for better! Did not make my first trip down there till April 30 last year. I fished that day plus 3 others over a two week period and had 188 total. Most people had already given up on it and the fish were just then making their big push. Hope for same results this year!
When y'all go to Bear Creek, do you put in at Buzzards Roost or go up to the TVA park?
I always put in at Colbert Park. Very Stumpy getting out of Buzzards Roost
