Fish are moving up to shallow water - going to start sacrificing some jigs to the trees. Like paying dues.....
I’ll give ya a dollar for the box? LOL great lookin box of jigs.
okay - but you have to pick it up. Tools of the trade, LOL.
You don’t catch big bluegill......
You catch whale bluegill.
Purty box of productiveness. I can only do a few at a time bf I think about the time I’m wasting when I could be fishing

I’ve never. Ever. Wanted to go to California, Sonny.
Ever.
But if i was financially able and time was available and I could fish w/ you, I’d be there in an instant. The fish you catch are unbelievable. Doesn’t hurt that you’re one of the nicest people I’ve never met either.
Best wishes, my friend.

Too kind & thnx Adam - SoCal is a crazy place to live - I do it for the fish. Maybe one of these days it could happen.
Beautiful pics!!!
Ok I grew up in So Cal, a place called Lompoc. Used to to a lake up by Arroyo Grandy, and one on the back side of Santa Barbara. But never caught gills like that. Them are hogs for sure.

Now I really have to get busy......
bg - tail material is duck flank feathers, I use 2 tips. Also tyed in the tail is fluorescent Krystal flash, and fluorescent red thread.
Excellent tye - that puppy will hunt. You'll be happy with the duck flank feathers. Jungle Jim got me interested in them awhile back. I'm using more flank feathers them marabou in a lot of my patterns now. Still like marabou but the ffs are so much tougher.
Dang, thems some HOGS!! Nice jigs too.
Thnx KC
Desperate times call for desperate measures... Scrounged around and tyed up BSs from jigs that failed QC painting and the 2 jigs on the right are using Old style VMC (made in France) #6 hook. Hoping these will work until I can get some more jigs poured....

thnx bg
I powder paint my jigs - use brush tapping technique. The silver is a mirror coat with Columbia Coatings holographic glitter. The multi painted use powder paint blends that I made. I use black, pearl white, and red - with all 3 I mix in the holograph powder. The black paint is coated with illusion paint from Columbia Coatings. I don't see it on their web site now. I use a hi-liter or nail art foil on the blades - this is working out better then I thought. I use fingernail polish, wet-n-wild clear, to cover the eyes and paint & foil.
Some results from one of the "reject" tyes;

WOW - if that don't get bit - I'd quit!!!
This one is still in the pond - waitin' on you Adam
You need to try the Autos FF - they catch big fish....
Did you weigh that one?
No - I don't like messing with them much, couple of photos, quick measurements, and back to business. Have a baby scale - boat has to be real stable to use it. The younger ones handle the stress better - they're the ones with clear patterns on their cheeks.
For the weight estimates been using;
Fish Weight Calculator | Fish Swami
That fish was 11.5 X 15.5 = 2.3lb
Caught several fish around the 11" mark the next day - all on Autos.
