Go, no go.

First off Linda is going to have surgery on her broken arm on Tuesday, let's pray all comes out well.

Since the surgery will have her out of commission for 6 weeks we decided last night to go fishing today or at least boat ride. I got everything ready last night. This morning all I had to do was to grab a few minnows I had in my tank, throw them in the boat and drive off. All went according to plan at least up to that point. We drove over to the boat launch to find that the water was about 6 inches over the docks. It was open for use but there was no way for Linda to get into the boat if I would have launched it. So we turned around very disappointed and headed home. I guess it was just not meant to be. No fishes were harmed this trip,

Just a thought for next time. I have to get my wife into boat while on trailer before launch and she stays in boat until it is back on trailer when done. After her anneurism she cant manage to get from docks to boat and vice versa.

Thanks huntinslabs but she has bad knees. Even if I had a ladder to get in the boat before launch she couldn’t climb the ladder.

Linda has had a real rough time with her arm.Still praying for her healing.Will pray for the Dr. to do his best and for Linda to heal and recover well.Sorry to hear you two did not get to boat ride or fish.

Thanks Terrry, most appreciated. I do keep a small step stool in the boat because sometimes she cannot make the step from the cockpit to the deck. The stool is about 10 " talld. Sometimes she has to use it to gain the deck from the dock if the boat is too high or gain the deck by putting it on the deck if the boat is too low. It all worked out for the good and we still had a great day.

One day we'll get to work those fish over with the roadrunners you sent, I just know we will.

I totally understand the high water...hope all goes well with Linda's surgery....

JR, no driver needed. Dr. says she will be as good as new in 6 weeks, then we will drive up for a guided trip in PawPaw "gene's" fishing machine.
