In the spring tournament at Grenada how many of the boats were using Livescope? And how many of the top places were using it? I guess the question did it have an effect on the outcome?

I can't speak for that tournament but here in Texas you can not win without it
I really thougt there would be more interest in this question. Only one of my friends that I know of has one and he says it is a "game changer". I've only seen it on youtube but I can imagine it wil be.
I would like to know also, but have no idea how a man would find out.
I think if your only looking for 7 big fish, your gonna have to have one

I have no idea if Live Scope was used at Grenada or not but if it was I can certainly tell you it helped. It is absolutely a game changer and has completely changed where and how I fish...and this is on a lake I grew up on...I know it well. I crappie fish for fun and can tell I no longer have any concern and/or doubt I will be fishing in water holding fish. Not only that I know the exact depth their suspending. Live Scope does not make them bite. I still have good days and bad days but even on bad days I know without a doubt I was not fishing dead water.
They do mostly spider rigging on Grenada which is not a great application for livescope. I suspect those running the Hummingbird 360 will do much better. Livescope is a game changer but it does not shine when it comes to spider rigging.
Not true. I have never used 360 so I can't comment on that but spider rigging is exactly how I'm currently using it and it is awesome. Not only do I search and troll towards productive water I can see their depths at 50' out and I can drop/raise my baits accordingly. Often times I can tell which poles to focus on. It's double my catch and effectiveness on the water.Quote:

All good. Given most of what is currently published/posted on the internet about Live Scope revolves around single pole and/or vertical fishing it is the first impression of most people I talk too. For me, I added Live Scope this winter and didn't really know what to expect. The lake closest to me has little/no structure so spider rigging is how we fish it until the fish move to the banks for the spawn. This year...spring rolled around and we headed to the lake to spider rig as we have in the past. Much to my surprise...live scope is a huge benefit. I no longer fish towards landmarks, parallel the bank or follow contours...I follow fish. I've also found structure, secret brush piles and humps I never knew existed.Quote:

I like it so much that I purchased a 2nd Livescope unit this spring and mounted it on the other side of the boat for my partner to use. So I have two livescopes that I use for spider rigging.
Kim, what length rods are you using? Think I saw video of guys seeing four baits out in front of them while spider rigging.
16’s but I space my rods out quite a bit. At 15’ in front you only see around 6-7 ft wide. I don’t need to see more than one anyway. I don’t need to see them bite, I get all of the information I need looking at one rod.

Well, my Livescope finally came in. I got in installed on the kayak this morning and took it out on our maiden voyage. I've got to do a little work on the steering, but it worked pretty good. The wind was 15-20 mph. I spider rig most all the time so I have to figure out how to best use it.
