Good Luck Zach ! Be careful out there. Catch a bunch and send pictures !
When I was young married I had a 14'er that same width. I used a roller and painted it hunter green (which helped to cover all the patchwork on the bottom). Aint no telling how many tons of catfish I caught those years that I fished out of it. It ran by a 6 hp Evinrude motor.
Have fun with it....and be careful! It doesn't take that much to fall out of it!;):)
Seriously, a 15 would be plenty. They are less than 100 lb. And some can be souped up to 20 with a ignition or carb change. I have a 9.5 1967 Evenrude Sportsman on my 14 ft open Starcraft. I can carry it with one hand.
Catch just as many fish outa that boat as a 21’ bass boat. Love my 16’ Jonboat with a 25 hp. Don’t desire anything more. Good Luck on restoring it.

Zack, I'll be on the look out for a motor for you! Every once in a blue moon someone will bring one in and ask where to put it! Now, I got a reason to keep one.:highfive
Glad for you Zach. Enjoy the new rig.

I had one just like her, except painted green & pushed around by an old 15 hp Johnson... You wouldn’t believe all the fish that got to ride in that boat! Also, miss the fact that I could get into some tight, shallow places normally only accessed in waders. Great memories... [emoji41]

Nice rig and congrats on your new to you boat. Many fish have been caught from that style of a boat.
Hope you catch a bunch of slabs. Have fun and be safe.
We tried but pretty much just rode around.Fish was not biting and the wind got tough. We did have 2 hits but missed. But all in all we had a good time trying. Better luck next time.In all we got there late like 1100 and stayed til 230.Fished with several different jigs.Attachment 336961Attachment 336962Attachment 336963Attachment 336964

Looks like my boat trailer! I better check the shed? :Rofl How long is that trlr? You guys will hit the jack pot soon and have to many to clean. :highfive
Shortstick, he should have come on to your house and you'll go to Fishing Creek together. :biggrin
Looks like someone is getting ready for a night stalk.
Unless you are paddling you better get it registered. SC is not to lenient on such things.
Enjoy your new boat. It will help you catch a lot of fish.
Congrats on the new boat. I know you will enjoy it. Now, go slime her up
