KY lake 3/21 & 3/22

Made a quick trip to KY lake. The water was around 52 and a little muddy. I was only able to fish for 4 hours on Thursday and found some at the mouth of the creek just off a drop off. In 10’ to 15’ I end up with 11 good fish all over 12” with the biggest one 15.5”.

I had all day Friday to fish so I went right back to the same spot with high expectations but Once again KY lake throws me a curve ball. Fished that drop off for 3 hours and only picked up one. So off I went hunting again. I finally found a few in 9’ out off a wind blown point and ended up with 12 good fish. I didn’t catch any short fish in the day and half that I fished. All the fish that I did catch looked fat and healthy.

I’ve been using that and all the previous stations there most of my 31 consecutive years coming down there. I’ve cleaned tons of fish there. Headed there next week. Congrats on your good catch. That’ll fill up a gut bucket.
