All 3 species of cats, pickerel, gar and I guess most of the sunfish family plus carp. I'm sure a few more that doesn't come to me now.
Isn't there a hybrid stripe bass in there also? They can get big. Seems like I remember catching a few years ago when I fished the lake more often. I know it is a sleeper lake for big cats. Not a whole lot of people fish for them and the lake holds some monster blues and flatheads.

Yep, caught a few from time to time. Wife went with me one of the very few times and we were crappie fishing and she hooked one and started crying for me to take her pole but of course I won't and she finally landed it. Haven't heard of one being caught in a while but that doesn't mean anything but I also haven't heard of them putting any in for a while either. While telling tales while crappie fishing with my BIL I hooked a fish and it was big. In my boat. after about an hour I finally got a big blue cat up to the boat hooked in the tail and we finally got it in the boat because my BIL wanted to keep it not me. We took it over to the game wardens shack and weighted it on their deer scales and it weighted 60 lbs. My BIL took it with him.
Heres a pic of the blue cat SteveJ caught with a jig pole. Attachment 334330
Interesting information. Thanks.
I've been fishing Okatibbee all my life and have never caught a drum there. There were some hybrid stripers in there years ago but I think they all died out and weren't restocked. There are a good many carp in there. I hooked a big one in the tail while pulling crankbaits one day and it took me 45 minutes to get my crankbait back. Lol
I KNOW THAT FEELING SCOTT .
At the end of April and start of May you can load a john boat slap full with channel cat that spawn on the rocks. Biggest I have caught was 15lbs blue though. Guy jogging out by the island one day caught a 32 lb carp that I saw. Have seen some pretty nice bass come out. You can go up the creek and catch all the gar you want. Never caught a pickerel in my life so don’t know. Plenty of Gog in there too
