looks like another crappie tourney on Guntersville this week going to be interesting with all the weather conditions ! Wonder how many of the guys that fished the Act will come fish this also! Do u Recon it will take a 15# plus stringer on this one too.

Some body will catch a big stringer probably and a lot may strike out. You and I know the conditions over there right now are not the best. High muddy water has fish scattered. These cold nights are also going to have an effect. Add to that winds sat at 12 gusts to twenty and it will make things real interesting. Seeing that wind forecast will keep me here on Weiss, if I can get a boat in, or at the house. I'm not fooling with 10 to twenty on big G
I signed up to fish it for the experience. Im really regretting it now.

It'll be another heavy stringer to win it I think. Talking to a number of the ACT folks, they were going to fish this one too.

To many dang Irons in the fire! I messed up and bought zero turn lawn mower 2 yrs ago to cut my mowing time in half at home so I could fish more ! Then got a wild hair to cut some grass on the side to help pay for the mower ! Now no fishing time for sure ! Ever time I get ready and think I’m headed to the lake someone calls hey I need my grass cut! Lol so that’s where I was this evening and the whole time I was mowing I was thinking how nice it would have been to be on the water! I hope this is my last season doing this!

If you win that tournament it will be more $$$ that cutting grass. Just kidding Michael. The thing about tournament fishing, you're fishing for 10 bites because you only need 7 fish. Toldy different than what we're looking for every trip. Or at least what I'm looking for anyway. Bad conditions don't mean as much if you're looking for 7 fish not a box full.

Well i made it out alive. Just about everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. We caught 3 big whites right off the bat and then the wind started blowing so hard, we couldnt stay on our spot. Trolling batteries died at 12. The we anchored out trying to cull 2 small fish we had and never could. Ended up with 7.79. We were in 7th when i left out of 25 boats but a few hadnt weighed in.
That how it goes sometimes! You did your best that’s all you can do! I’m Sure it had to be a tuff day!

just wanted to tell you Alabama guys you sure do have a special fishery at Guntersville and my partner and I enjoyed our stay and the fishing during the act tourney and crappie usa tourney.11.92 and 11.96 for the act and 19th place,13.43 and a win in the am division in crappie usa.the quality of fish was amazing even though we did not have a lot of numbers,but all the ones we caught were just great quality fish.
