Which fish finder

Hey guys I'm a new member from the Shreveport la area, and was wondering if y'all could give me your opinions on which fish finder to get. I already have the lowrance hook2 5x gps splitshot and it's ok, but I'd like to get something a little better, I'm wanting to spend around 600 but could go a little more if I needed too. I'm just getting into really fishing for crappie, I've always just fished the spawn but now I want to fish for them all year, so if you could tell me what you think is the best one for the money, I'd appreciate it. I have Garmin and really like them. With that being said, get the largest screen you can afford in whatever you buy.

check this post and call Garmin to see if they still have any of the Echomap Plus 93 sv units for $599 left. Hard to beat for the price if they have any left.

:welcome from Louisville KY you're going to have to look at them for yourself because you're going to get info on everyone ever made. Go to BPS or someplace like that where you can put your hands on them and see which one you think will be easiest for you to learn. I like 'Birds myself.

Call Brian at BB and G Marine. 888-570-0916 Describe what you want .He will get you the most bang for the buck .

Check BPS and Cabelas and see if they still have the Elite 9 Ti on clearance for 599.00. It has side scan, down scan and comes with Nav+ for US included. I got the Elite 7 Ti (should have waited for the 9) and really like it.

Another vote for Garmin. The best bang for the buck.

Thanks for the responses guys, I ended up buying the garmin echomap plus 73sv, I really like the lowrance because to me it shows more detail, but bass pro had this one on sale for 499.00 so I bought it mainly because I can pair it with the panoptix if I ever decide to, thanks again for the replies

I have the Elite 9 ti. I upgraded it to the latest software update (18.2). Now I have to use current Navionics chips. Outdated chips will not work properly. So be careful with the Lowrance Elite products.
