Beautiful work as always!! Hope they catch a ton!
They look great!
I have considered modifying molds to have double retainers like that, but wondered if it would cause really soft baits to split when they are put on. I had thought maybe they should be staggered?

Yeah I don't believe wire keeper would play nice with a soft plastic. I use a hard blend plastic so my plastics are tough.
I have used BG baby shad plastics with wire retainers. They work pretty well but will end up tearing (or at least pulling off slightly) after a number of fish.
That is why I modified some of my molds to make the screw lock style. It takes longer to get the bait on the jig, but it doesn’t tear or get pulled off!

Crappiedreamer, sent you a message.
DrNip, what, no pink, lol. What if you only put on one wire, and not let it stick up as much? Isn't that why things are tested, to see what works.
send you a pm
Looking good and killer keepers.
Dr. Nip what is the correct name for the blade eyelets and where can I find them?
Going to try and modify some molds to accept an eyelet and want to get supplies.
Thanks

Oh well shoots. Now you have the link for them too now. Lol
You are referring to the stainless steel sinker eye. I get size 0.
Stainless Steel Sinker Eyes
Yes Sir that's it. Going to attempt to modify a mold to accept them.
Thank You My Friend
Here is a pic of the mod I did on the 3/16 to allow the stinless steel sinker eye. I was able to make use of the 1/4 oz eye cut out for a majority of the insert. I did it on both sides of the mold. I have done several mods this way, making use of another cavity eye cutout. Only draw back from doing it this way only allows for me to pour the 3/16 and not the 3/16 and 1/4 oz at the same time. One could angle the insert so that you didn't make use of the 1/4 oz if you like.
