Tornado last night. We cut our way out in a couple hrs. Power restored by 11 am. House and us all OK. 6 acres pines, big UN's, sheared off 10 to 15ft off the ground.quite a few large red oaks bit the dust. Favorite shooting house flattened by oak tree.ruff running a saw after only a cup of instant coffee. Could have been lots worse

Dang I am not terribly far away from Rockford. I would have been glad to have come and helped you today had I known. I know the wind howled all night and poured rain at times. Glad your house and family are ok.
Now to try to find a logger to salvage enuff to pay for some dozer time! No more trees just a dove field!

Met up with a logger I have known for awhile, gave him a sweetheart price on the wood,hopefully this week will take everything down to 5 inches, pine and hardwood junk. Getting going on cleaning up this 17 acres!
