Great.:banghead We're headed down Thursday evening to fish for a week. Last year we didn't fish D'arbonne in March because of the flooding and muddy water. Looks like more of the same.
If your Boat is 50 HP or less I think the Best place would be Black Bayou Lake -- Being shallow the Spawn could be Happening or the North side of Chenniere Lake... there had been a drawdown to cut Timber last year... there has not been a word from Chenniere in forever
Black Bayou Lake might work. Would they be in the trees or out in the deeper water? Heard good things about the shell crackers there as well.
We'll fish Poverty Point at least once and will probably wander down to Caney, too.
If we fish D'arbonne we'll probably start up around Hwy 2.
I just checked the Gauge again and it looks like when the warning was issued the gates were opened more and not as much rain as predicted.

Larry, last time I was over past Chenniere it hadn't been refilled. Something about problems with the spillway. Did they get that problem resolved and refill it? Was the plan to stock it or let nature take care of that? My son lives just south of Calhoun so that would be an good one to try.
Someone said a long time ago that part of the Road had washed out with one of the Floods couple of years ago.. I would not think that they would let it go unrepaired.. Wish someone that lived in West Monroe could tell us what is going on I might have to Call Honey Hole - they always know
Here is an article in the La. Sportsman. Is this what you're asking about.

Thanks for the link PPG. Looks like it will be a while before it's back to normal.
I see that the "Cajun Navy" is heading to east Tennessee this morning to help the poor folks that have been overwhelmed with flood waters. I pray all stay safe.
