Smoked pork butt beans and coleslaw. Attachment 331691
I’m tending the fire while thes youngsters are attempting to fish in this cold water that jumped close to a ft overnight. The piers that are under water were usable yesterday.

Can you pitch a slip cork from the porch and hit the water?
Whatchu doing down there, Charlie? Caught anything yet?:yikes
At least you still have a pier. I’ve repaired mine 3 times since 2011. Between the high wind and relentless boat wakes that Eagle Lake is known for, my pier has turned into a pile of firewood. Needless to say, I’ve spent my last dollar.

Steve it looks like it has stopped rising for right now. Probably going to come up a little more from all the runoff around here. Supposed to have another round of storms coming this afternoon with some pretty heavy rain. Then they predicting more rain towards end of next week. Was told it has jumped 2 ft since Tuesday. But if you could get out and fish between storms I think you could do pretty good. Few fish I have seen are nice fish. My opinion is the new rules should help this lake. Bunch of out of town folks complaining about having to throw back 11 in fish.

Another year of all Crappie Masters boats on Washington. Bumper boats.
Is the lake going down any, wife and are thinking of stopping a few days on our way back from Flrida
I doubt it drops very quick. But I don’t think that will affect fishing much. Just need some stable weather for a few days. Don’t know when your planning on being here but got Tourneys scheduled here for several weeks including CrappieMasters. That means lots of boats on the lake pre fishing and tourney days. The fish that were caught were nice healthy fish. If you single pole this water is going to open a little more water for them to get shallow.
Thanks for the information we are heading up there next Monday, the tournament pre fishermen don’t bother us cuz we single pole fish.
By then you should be able to tear the up. Lot of males already starting to move in. One thing to be aware of they have changed the rules. Now it is a 11 inch limit and have to be over that so don’t keep anything less than 11 1/4. Talked to a guy that got caught last week. 125.00. Use a golden rule not one of those plastic measuring things. Also no more unders on that lake.
Thanks for all of your input, I'm sure we can find a few, in lakes with size limits I usually go a half to an inch over. I use the rule that came with my Ranger boat, I believe that it is a golden rule with the Ranger logo on it.
