Any reports on Toledo Bend. I'm on the San Miquel Cove. Any information would be appreciated. I'm new to fishing there and Crappie and can use all the help I can get.

I'm surprised with such a big beautiful lake like that we don't have more C.C members in that area of the state. Lately the only reports that have been posted came from members that had to travel 3+ hrs to get there.
I don’t fish the lake at all, but I saw a guy post on another site that they were starting to move shallow in a hurry. No clue where. I know it’s a big lake and probably fishes like 3 separate lakes.

Caught these on yo-Yo’s on the dock. The 2 big ones are 13”. Very slow, but it means they are on their way to the shallows to spawn. Hopefully it will pick up soon.

Glad to see those pictures, I’m about to go there now! Lol you just made me make up my mind. I will give a report this evening!
I remember from several years ago that White Crappie like the Northern Portion of the lake and the Black Crappie the Southern Portion.. the only time I fished the Bend for two days we did not get a bite but we got enough big fresh water Grass Shrimp to have a Meal
Larry how did you get the grass shrimp?
"gene"
We went to a pocket on the north end Texas side near William's last Saturday and caught 25 big ones. in two feet of water, went back today and didn't get a bite.
Paw-Paw my little Brother brought a Drag he had made -- Long handle on a rectangular wire cage about 20 inches wide. the shrimp were in the grass by the bank. Just reach out and drag it in and start grabbing quick. there were lots of small ones that Crappie would like to see
Went to T bend today
Got skunked!
Fished hard most of the day in several different areas that have produced in the past.
Water was 50-55 degrees. The cold snap and rain have them shut down I guess.

The Barometer was up this morning but it had taken a nose dive. I have two Aquariums set up - a 30 Gal in the shed with a pound of shiners and a 5 gal in the dining room to remind me to feed those in the shed -- it has been an Education for me watching what the shiners are doing with the changes of air pressure... When the Barometer is low ,, unplug the filter where the water becomes still, The shiners group together tightly hugging the bottom barely moving a fin with some laying on the bottom.. when the Pressure is higher the fish are several inches off the bottom and active
